PRAYER TO SAINT NICHOLAS
O GOd, source of strength and courage,
You gave Your beloved preacher,
Saint Nicholas of Tolentine,
the conviction of faith to the very end.
Grace us with the ability
to translate Your teachings into action,
remian patient amid hardship
serve the poor and those who suffer,
and live as Your true and faithful servants.
Amen.

As we also celebrate 2004 as a Marian Year and 2005 as Eucaharistic Year,
may we look at San Nicolas de Tolentino and imitate his devotion to the Mother of
God and his intense love and adoration for the Eucharist as our model. After all,
loving our Lord Jesus Christ is to be devoted to His Mother and to be permeated
by the Eucharist, His Living Presence in our midst.
