Many are asking, "What is a Siwawer?  Is it it a bird  kali or an eagle?"

 

Whatever it is, according to Dr. Aribuabo, it is something that has always been attached to the Vintarinians. It is a source of strength and inspiration among Vintarinians for it seems there is a surge of energy and  power that goes out from them whenever such a word is mentioned. Hence the Siwawer Festival was hatched to celebrate Vintarinians' indomitable spirit and to showcase as well Siwawer-Vintarinians'  positive characteristics and traits such as intrepidity, perseverance, courageousness, adventurousness, among others.

 

Perhaps, this belief about the mighty power of the Siwawer has been internalized by the great people of Vintar. It served as an inspiration for them to become great and so Vintar has been producing great leaders in various fields of endeavor; and Vintarinians have spread out to many parts of the globe.

 

For her part, Dr. Fidelis Labrador calls on all Vintarinians to be united as the celebration "might bring us to greater heights and inspite  of our differences, we can put them aside for a while...and let us move to greater things!"
