SEARCH FOR OUTSTANDING
VINTARINIANS
Rationale
The Search for Outstanding Vintarinians here and abroad will be one of the highlights of the 2009 Vintar Centennial Celebrations. This aims to:
1. recognize Vintarinians who:
a. have made outstanding achievements and contributions to community development;
b. occupy high positions both in the public and private sectors; and
c. have brought honor and glory to the municipality.
2. recognize also non-Vintarinians who have resided in the municipality for a long period of time and have contributed much to the development of the municipality.
The awards given to outstanding Vintarinians will serve as inspiration and encouragement to others to perform and exemplify laudable programs and projects for community development.
Award Categories
Awards of commendation will be given to Vintarinians who:
1. have outstanding contributions to community development specifically in
Agriculture Education
Community Service Military
Medicine Journalism
Law Engineering and Architecture
Religion Business/entrepreneurship
Culture and Arts (Music, dance, painting, sculpture etc.)
2. are holding key positions in government and non-government institutions (e.g. department secretaries, division chiefs, regional directors including chief and associate justices, etc.); and
3. have brought honor and glory to the municipality
- consistent winner in national and international competitions (piano, music, dramatic arts, visual arts (painting, poster)
- recipients of several awards from national and international organizations
(TOYM, Metrobank Foundation Inc., etc.)
Awards to be Given
A plaque of recognition will be given to each winner in the different categories. Inscribed in the plaque are the following: name, category and a brief description of the outstanding/major accomplishments and contributions of the awardee to community development.
Criteria
Evaluation of nominee’s accomplishments and selection will be based on a set of criteria which will be prepared for each category by a group (at least 5 members) with outstanding performance in the discipline. The composition of the selection board and the evaluation criteria will be presented to the Committee on Awards for their comments, suggestions and approval. A questionnaire will also be prepared based on the criteria and will be accomplished by the candidate/nominee. An interview will be conducted to validate the documents submitted by the candidate.
General Qualifications
1. Nomination is open to all Vintarinians here and abroad and those who have resided in Vintar for a long period of time.
2. Nominees must be of good moral character
3. Nominees must not have received the same award from the municipality.
4. Nominees must not have been found guilty of/and must not have any pending administrative or criminal offense.
Strategies to Disseminate the Awards
The
committee will adopt various ways to disseminate the search for outstanding
Vintarinians. Flyers will be distributed
and streamers and billboards will be prepared and will be posted at strategic
places for wider dissemination of the search. It will also be aired over radio
stations in the province, in

Nomination Requirements
1. Submit duly accomplished documents such as:
1.1 Personal Data Sheet
1.2 Nomination Form with 2x 2 picture of nominee
1. A copy of documentation of the nominee’s contributions/accomplishments.
3. Fill in Form-1 and Form-2. Click on the Form_1 or Form-2 to get the forms.
