Dear Tito and Nita,
Congratulations on your wonderful 40th Wedding Anniversary!
Forty years ago we were all so excited to be part of your wedding day. It has been an amazing ride watching you build your life together. You have refuted a common belief that true love is a fairy tale and that dreams and wishes are only follies created for the movies. The truth is your love story continues to prove otherwise.
We have been blessed to experience your life’s joys/highs, worries/fears vicariously. Through the years as we reunited with you there during our visits in the Philippines or with us here in the USA, many times we experienced Tito’s unspoken loving tenderness as he would gaze into Nitz’s eyes. We participated in your repartees when Nitz shared her jokes and made Tito grin as he added his own embellishments to further enliven the joke. Whenever Tito sweetly calls Nitz ‘Sweetheart’, we are reminded a line from "Song of Solomon",
"You are all-beautiful, my beloved and there is no blemish in you.
Your magnificent life stories, as well as, the daily humdrum snippets that encapsulate your true love for each other remind us to thank God for His ever-wonderful blessings to you and your family.
Nitz and Titz, you are amazing people as individuals -- loving, strong and faith-filled, courageous, generous, kind-- and of course, you are doubly incredible together. You truly are each other’s better-half.
We apologize for not making it to your 40th wedding anniversary. Know that we are there in your hearts as you are always in ours. God willing, we will be there for your 50th!
