Hi, my name is
Maureen Faein Agcaoili Ibanna born to Mr. Edison Ibana and Mrs. Nerie Agcaoili.
I came to Hawaii in 1999 with my father. Then a few years later came my brothers
and my mother.
My first
education in Hawaii is 7th grade. It's a private school named School Of
Tomorrow. It is a small Christian School where each grade level had few
students. That school is basically studying and learning by your self. From that
school I learned to be independent, figuring things out by myself. I attended
this school for only one year. I have to go back to the Philippines to continue
my studies there. It's because that my father then was always busy
working. I have to stay with my mom and my brothers until we can all come
to Hawaii.
After two years
in the Philippines, we all came back here in Hawaii and attended Farrington High
School as a sophomore student. During my senior year, I joined this program
called "Early Childhood" because I wanted to experience how to deal with numbers
of children. Children are smart and I wanted to help them discover their own
talent. By doing all my best as a student and with God's help, I graduated as a
cum laude.
The most
important thing in my life is to graduate from college and get my Bachelor's
Degree from my chosen career. One of my goals is one day I will move out from my
parent's place and be able to have my own house. I would also like to put up my
own business in the Philippines so I can help out my relatives back there. As
much as I want to help everybody in the Philippines, I know I can't do much for
them yet because I'm not making that much yet. However, in the future, as soon as I get a
job from my chosen career, I will do my best to help them and have a better
life.
